What is the tubular structure actually made of?

The sofa is constructed from approximately 120 meters of velvet tubing. Eeach individual tube filled with a blend of polyurethane chips and goose feathers, then handwoven together into the final form. The polyurethane chip filling gives each tube structural resilience that prevents total collapse under body weight, while the goose feather component adds softness and the ability to recover its shape after compression. The velvet exterior gives the surface a luminous texture that catches light differently depending on the direction of the pile.

Is it actually comfortable to sit on?

Because there is no rigid frame underneath, the sofa adapts to your body rather than asking your body to adapt to it. The tubes shift and redistribute under your weight to support your posture in whatever position you choose — upright, reclined, sideways, or sprawled. The combination of polyurethane resilience and feather softness means you feel supported rather than swallowed. Does a frame-free sofa hold its shape long term?
