Pablo Chair

Leather Hung, Not Upholstered

Three separate panels of saddle leather are slung from the frame — back, seat and arms. Nothing is stuffed, stapled or padded. The leather takes your weight the way a hammock does.

Wrapped Rear Posts

The back panel doesn’t stop at the frame; it carries around each rear post and seams down the side, so the oak is held inside the leather rather than bolted to it.

Open Frame

Gaps run between every panel and through the structure beneath. A full-size lounge chair that you see straight through, and that reads light in a small room.

Round Posts, Flat Rails

Four tapered round posts carry flat square rails and a low stretcher — two profiles, one joint, nothing concealed. The frame is the only decoration the chair has.
