Eryt Lounge Chair

One Rod, Two Jobs

A single turned dowel crosses the back, ties in the rear legs and locks the shell in place. It runs straight through and out the other side, end left round and unfinished — the only visible hardware on the chair, and it’s made of wood.

Count the Plies

Every cut edge shows its layers. Nothing is banded, filled or veneered over. Where most chairs hide how they were made, this one leaves it at eye level.

A Cushion That Lifts Off

The leather pad isn’t fitted or fixed. It rests in the curve of the seat, piped and domed, and comes straight off — for cleaning, for swapping, or for leaving the plywood bare.

Crossed Underneath

Two flat rails cross in an X below the seat, bracing all four legs without a box frame. Most people will never look under a chair. This one rewards it.
