Leather Hung, Not Upholstered

Two panels of natural saddle leather are slung from the frame — back and seat. Nothing is stuffed or padded. The seat dips deep under weight and rolls over a round dowel at the front edge.

Cantilevered Armrests

Flat broad arms run forward past the front legs and taper to a rounded tip, carried on the posts rather than braced underneath. Wide enough to set a cup on, light enough to read as a line.

Wrapped Rear Posts

The back panel doesn’t stop at the frame. It carries around each rear post and seams down the side, so the oak is held inside the leather rather than bolted to it.

Open Between

A clear gap runs between back and seat, and the stretchers show straight through. A full lounge chair you can see the room through.
