Gathered Leather Face

The inner face of the headboard is upholstered loose, not pulled taut. Leather falls in soft vertical folds from a single centre seam, catching light differently across the width — the one place on the bed where the material is allowed to move.

Flared Wing Panels

Both upper corners angle forward instead of stopping flat. The headboard turns in on itself, enclosing the head of the bed and holding the pillows within its span rather than behind it.

Continuous Piped Line

A single cord of piping runs the curve where the headboard drops into the plinth and carries along the base. One outline, unbroken, tracing the whole frame from corner to corner.

Bullnose Plinth

The base is rounded at the front rail and at every corner, lifted just clear of the floor on short dark feet. A heavy volume, drawn soft enough that it never reads as a box.
