At Sohnne®, we believe great furniture begins with responsible material sourcing. That’s why we carefully select premium leathers from reputable tanneries, sustainable fabrics from leaders like Kvadrat® and Maharam®, and FSC®-certified wood from responsibly managed forests. Every material is chosen to balance beauty, durability, and environmental responsibility, ensuring our designs stand the test of time while reducing their footprint.
Together, these choices reflect our ongoing commitment to sustainability, creating furniture that is as responsible as it is timeless.
Doing Our Part
We track our efforts to ensure that our commitment isn’t just a promise, but a measurable impact.
Carbon Offset. We’ve offset over 15,000 tons of CO2 by planting trees in deforested areas. That’s like taking 3,200 cars off the road for a year.
Waste Reduction. We’ve reduced our manufacturing waste by 30% in the past year by improving our production processes and recycling over 50 tons of materials annually.
Energy Efficiency. Our production facilities now run on 40% renewable energy, and we are working towards 100% by 2027.

Since 2017, we've been partnering Cool Effect, an organization that specializes on carbon offsets. Together, we’ve already contributed to impactful environmental initiatives, including tree planting, carbon offset projects, and clean energy solutions.
This effort is more than just offsetting carbon, it’s about supporting communities, restoring ecosystems, and helping mitigate climate change. By working with trusted organizations, we’re actively contributing to a more sustainable future for the planet.
Over 90% of every dollar you donate goes directly toward supporting our projects. A small portion, just 9.87%, covers essential costs like payment processing, research, and potential registration fees.
Here’s the breakdown:
- 1.5% for Research
- 2–4% for Payment Processing
- Registry Fee (if applicable)
- The remaining amount covers Cool Effect’s Administration Costs
