The backrest isn't as robust as it appears; leaning back can cause the velcro to give way, and I'm not particularly heavy. his chair it is absolutely amazing. We actually have bought two, They were are the original models. When I tell you, I have never had a more comfortable piece of furniture if you like sitting on thick medium deep foam this is amazing! It’s firm yet supported it’s not super hard. It definitely forms to you as you sit. It has not dipped or dented. I’ve had many other accent chairs, and non have been of such comfort and quality most of them end up just being more decor to show and this is truly like a modern lounging chair.
