USI bought this lamp to replace my favorite lamp that was beyond repair, and it was the perfect lamp for me. It fits perfectly in the corner of my desk, I installed a 40-watt bulb, but the shade got very hot, so I replaced it with a soft white LED bulb (4W is equivalent to a 40W bulb). This lamp works perfectly. I love the amount of light it provides, and it no longer gets hot. It was also easy to put together.
